Masias is a dense spirit who has used his time in the Kingdom very poorly.  The result of this is that he is very easily persuaded by his friend, Troy, to join the rebel movement.

Although he is almost twelve thousand years of age, this time has not benefited Masias at all.  While this maturity initially allowed him to capture the heart of Cindy, he ultimately trades her love for the despicable acts that have become the new treasure of his corrupted heart.

Feeling betrayed by Cindy, Masias ultimately becomes a violent sadist that Lucifer is able to use to great advantage in the first book.

Masias plays an intermittent role through the series and is an interesting case study because he becomes increasingly difficult for the enemy of all mankind to exercise any level of control over.
