Premortal by Damien Passmore

Lucifer

In the first novel Lucifer is the leader of the rebel movement. Driven by an insatiable lust for power, his personal qualities cave as he becomes willing to do anything, and use anyone, to take control.

As a spirit he is over eleven thousand years old and has received the significant honour of being appointed a ‘Son of the Morning’.

This is not sufficient for Lucifer, however, and he is jealous of anyone who receives any recognition or a position of authority. Within the quorum of the Sons of the Morning he is envious of all of his brothers, and particularly of Michael, his leader.

Lucifer is present in all novels in the series as the adversary of all mankind.

Lucifer’s personal qualities are ever disintegrating and he increasingly becomes the sickest and most perverse psychopath ever contemplated by man.  His filthy nature causes him to live in a personal hell of the most exquisite misery, his only perceived relief being to coerce others into making choices that cause them to sink with him into self-inflicted despair.

There is no length he will not go to, no lie he will not tell, no deed too despicable for him to inspire.  The depths of his depravity are unimaginable and indescribable, however, throughout the course of this series, every attempt is made to capture the true nature of his terrifying character.
