Tara is noble, virtuous and ever faithful to her parents.
She loves Caleb dearly and is devastated to find the two of them drifting apart in the first book. Ultimately, once Caleb comes clean, it comes as a huge shock to Tara just what it is that has been driving a wedge between them.
At a little over ten thousand years of age, Tara is older than Caleb and this maturity allows her to be of great assistance to him as he purifies himself from the evil that he has allowed himself to be exposed to. She is also a wonderful comfort and counsel to Caleb in mortality.
Both Tara and Caleb are privileged to be born in the ‘meridian of time’ and play a crucial role in the great reclaiming of souls that occurs at that unique time in human history.
Certain blessings are withheld from the couple for much of their mortal life, but they do not allow this to make them bitter. Rather, they live exemplary lives until the blessings come and this empowers them to play the critical role appointed to them in mortality.
